Help! Can't open Spybot, can't run file after re-downloading it, can't un-install it

Hi, I have some major problems going on with my computer. There may be a virus, but I think there is a serious spyware / adware problem going on. I downloaded Spybot a few weeks ago, and used it once or twice. I don't know what happened but now I can't open it, or Ad-aware. I can't run either file when I re-download it, I can't even remove Spybot from the start panel where it says "uninstall spybot", or from the add/remove programs. I was going to completly un-install it, and then try downloading it and seeing if it would let me run it then. I was able to remove ad-aware, but still can't run file after re-downloading. I'm not good with computers, so can you help me? Please explain in detail as I have NO idea of ANY sort of computer terminology, or workings.....The reason I want to be able to use Spybot is that my internet is running SUPER slow, and random pages pop-up in separate windows almost constantly.All these problems started happening when i removed out of date Norton Antivirus

Hi whats up? You can easily tell if u have any virus or malware on ur system by the way ur computer behaves. Your pc may slow down, not browse properly, programs may become unstable and crash a lot.
