im freaking out, cuz this is a new computer !!
Did anyone ever get a virus from myspace?norton 360
Well, yes. It is possible to get a virus simply by visiting a page. This is a new type of internet threat called a drive by download. What happens, is that the page will silently download a virus or other malicious scripts onto your computer, and you will never know. Not only that, but once the scripts are downloaded, the malicious page will display its content as if there is nothing wrong with the site.
With regards to your myspace specific virus, there have been a few trojans and attacks on peoples' profiles. The trojan on myspace tries to steal your login and password, and then copies itself into your profile.
With all of the changes in technology and internet threats, it is so important to keep your firewall turned on, your virus software up to date, and your anti adware and anti spyware programs up to date as well.
