My netgear router won't connect to my internet?

I've been having problems with obtaining wireless internet, first i had Lynksis wireless-G and then the connection was so bad that it took 20 minutes to download a patch for my antivirus program. I first asked the intelligent people on Y answers, the number one answer was to get a repeater/range extender. So i wound up at Best Buy where range extenders ran about 100 dollars. I then noticed a NETGEAR wireless router with 15 times the signal strength of my standard wireless-G. I returned my old router(only being 2 days used) and bought the new router because of the price. I connected it at home went to my upstairs computer used my lynksys wireless G receiver already in my desktop and found my new network and connected it. It was working with a good connection only problem was it could not connect to the internet. I Have Windows Vista OS. plus under network it says IPv4 and 6 have limited intertnet connectability. Please help me

What internet company are you using? If it is at%26t you need to change a setting on your router to get the internet working. If I remember correctly you need to change you LAN IP setup by changing your starting and ending IP under DHCP. For example: if your starting IP is 198.168.1.1 you need to change it to 198.168.10.1. Do the same for the ending.
