Norton will more than protect your computer. The downside is that it will also slow it way down.

McAffee is a good buy. Good protection like Norton but without the system slowdown issues.

AVG gets great ratings on every review I've ever read.

My personal favorite is AVAST! anti-virus. It works great and updates it's definition file 2 to 3 times a week! It protects your PC, and your e-mail and works great with the Windows Firewall...AND IT'S FREE!! The downside is that the virus scanner is pretty slow.

I've also read great reviews on Trend Micro's anti-virus software.

Try downloading a program called CA security. You should be able to get it online.
The most popular free anti virus are AVG and Avast and after them comes Avira. For paid, Kaspersky, BitDefender and NOD32.
